New and returning students at institutions across the country kicked off the semester in style as they were enthusiastically welcomed to their homes away from home. As part of the “All for You” themed, customer focused engagement series, Aramark Collegiate Hospitality hosted “Welcome Home” events at over 220 universities this fall.
Collegiate Hospitality’s proprietary research methodology clearly shows that across campuses, the most frequently called out differentiator was Aramark’s ability to create a home-like environment, one where students have the feeling of being grounded and calm when dining on campus.
The events that took place from mid-August through September, tailored to each campus, helped students feel appreciated and part of the wider community from day one — a feeling of gratitude that last all year and one they can count on throughout their higher education journey.
Check out the lifelong memories that were made!
UNCW Campus Dining rolled out the red carpet on the first day of classes this fall semester to greet new and returning Seahawks right at the heart of campus on Chancellor’s Walk.
Local specialty coffee roaster Port City Java gave out samples of their famous Iced Chai Oat Milk Latte and Iced Coffee. Midtown POP, a Wilmington tradition for decades, shared bags of handcrafted gourmet popcorn. Red Bull joined the festivities, handing out 1,000 free cans to energize students.
Students stopped by the UNCW Campus Dining table for snacks courtesy of Kellogg’s and campus-branded swag. The spin-to-win game and ’what goes where’ sorting challenge presented by Campus Dining Sustainability rewarded students with sustainable prizes. Plus, our registered dietician was on hand, answering questions and hosting a build-your-own trail mix bar.
Beyond snacks and swag, students walked away with a better understanding of campus dining at UNCW and excitement about their dining experience this semester. In all, more than 1,000 students participated in the event and UNCW Campus Dining’s social media following by over 300 followers.
UAPB Dining and the Student Government Association energized students on the first day back at school with giveaway items, trivia games, a themed barbecue (complete with a DJ), treats from Kellogg’s, a popcorn station and snow cones at this year’s Welcome Home event.
Meal plan information and campus maps made it easy for students to navigate their new home, while water and popsicles on move-in day helped them beat the Arkansas heat.
More than 1,200 students at UC attended the Welcome Home Picnic, coming together to celebrate the start of the semester and get to know each other better.
Inflatable bouncers, a live DJ, funnel cakes, cotton candy and raffle drawings gave the event a fair-like vibe where students could hang out with old friends and meet new ones. With such a warm welcome to campus, the semester is already off to a great start.
Seminole Dining’s Welcome Home event at FSU was a vibrant, exciting way for students to kick off the new semester. A variety of activities from tie-dying to free snow cones and a Costa Coffee giveaway brought the campus community together.
More than just a party, the event was a special way to celebrate the start of classes and connect with one another, creating positive memories that last a lifetime.
